Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Chennai

Arrive at Chennai Airport and transfer to your hotel. Later, explore the capital city of Tamil Nadu — visit Marina Beach, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, and the colonial buildings. Overnight in Chennai.

Day 02: Chennai – Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram (130 km / approx. 4 hrs)

Drive to Mahabalipuram. En route, stop at Kanchipuram – famous for its silk sarees and ancient temples. Later visit the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, and Five Rathas in Mahabalipuram. Overnight in Mahabalipuram.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (100 km / approx. 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry – the former French colony. Explore Aurobindo Ashram, French Quarter, Promenade Beach, and churches. Overnight in Pondicherry.

Day 04: Pondicherry – Tanjore via Chidambaram & Kumbakonam (175 km / approx. 5 hrs)

Drive to Tanjore. En route, visit Chidambaram Nataraja Temple and ancient temples of Kumbakonam. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight in Tanjore.

Day 05: Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai (200 km / approx. 5 hrs)

Morning visit to Brihadeeswarar Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Then drive to Madurai via Trichy. Visit Srirangam Temple and Rockfort Temple in Trichy. Overnight in Madurai.

Day 06: Madurai Sightseeing – Thekkady (140 km / approx. 4 hrs)

Visit the world-famous Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayakar Palace, and local bazaars. Later, drive to Thekkady in Kerala. Enjoy spice plantation tour. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 07: Thekkady – Munnar (90 km / approx. 3 hrs)

Optional early morning boat ride at Periyar Lake. Later, drive to Munnar – Kerala’s hill station. Enjoy a relaxed evening amidst tea gardens. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 08: Munnar Sightseeing

Explore Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Museum, and Eravikulam National Park (closed Feb–Mar for breeding season). Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 09: Munnar – Alleppey (170 km / approx. 5 hrs)

Drive to Alleppey. Check in to a traditional Kerala houseboat for an unforgettable cruise through scenic backwaters. Enjoy meals onboard. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 10: Alleppey – Cochin Departure (90 km / approx. 2.5 hrs)

Disembark after breakfast. Drive to Cochin. Depending on flight time, enjoy a short city tour covering Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, and Jewish Synagogue. Later, transfer to Cochin Airport for your onward journey.
